Wang Qing

1. Basic Information Wang Qing, male, was born in the Wugong county of Shaanxi province in June 1959 .He is a professor and master tutor graduated from Northwest Agricultural College in 1983, and received bachelor of agriculture.

2. Research Directions
His research directions are agricultural economic theory and policy, and regional economic theory and policy.

3. Courses
He commitments to the management of agriculture economic and regional economic teaching and research for long-term, has undertaken microeconomics, macroeconomics, agricultural economics, regional economics, management of agricultural economics science teaching for undergraduates and teaches the project of agricultural economic management for postgraduates, and so on.
He has trainned 14 graduate education students so far ,and is instructing 15 postgraduates in school.

4. Academic Achievements (at the provincial level and above)
He has chaired more than 40 major research task of the national, provincial and departmental research and technology. Main issues are: study on north-central hilly region (Mizhi) resource efficient exploitation and comprehensive development of agriculture ("Ninth Five-Year" national scientific and technological project --96-004-05-02); study on the model of the efficient use of biological resources and ecological management in the Loess Plateau (scientific and technological project of Shaanxi Province); research about rural economic development of western China (project for Ministry of Agriculture); research on rural economic development and plan of Qinling mountains (project for Ministry of Agriculture);Study on integrated agricultural regionalization of Shaanxi province (Shaanxi Province scientific and technological projects); research on the development of leading industry in rural areas in Shaanxi (Shaanxi Province scientific and technological projects); the overall layout and development planning of the main economic horticultural crops of Shaanxi province(scientific and technological project in Shaanxi Province); study on the tranformming model of low-yield farmland in the Shaanxi province (scientific and technological project in Shaanxi Province);the development planning of food for the"Seventh five-year Plan" of Shaanxi province and next ten years (project for Shaanxi Agricultural Research Center); construction of grain production bases in Shaanxi province (project for Shaanxi Agricultural Research Center); the agricultural development planning studies for the "Seventh five Plan" of Shaanxi province and next ten years (project for Shaanxi Agricultural Research Center);study on improving the overall layout and development Planning of food crops in Shaanxi (project for Shaanxi Agricultural Research Center);Study on Increasing the production level of food in Shaanxi, the Comprehensive Management of agricultural industrialization in Loess Plateau ,and the Countermeasures for the perfect form of agricultural industry organization (the project for Advisory Committee of Shaanxi Province);study on the Development of rural leading industry in Shaanxi province (Project for Shaanxi Province ), and so on.
Main research tasks: the theory of industrialization of agriculture and increasing farmers income, the adjustment of rural industrial structure, the construction of ecological agriculture, the development strategy and rural economic development issues of western China
" Research on rural economic development and plan of Qinling Mountains " won the third prize of scientific and technological achievements by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1987; "Comprehensive Agricultural Division of Shaanxi Province" was the first prize of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province in 1988;" Research about rural economic development in western China "won the second prize of scientific and technological achievements by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1988; "Studying to improve stability in the level of grain production in Shaanxi, " was the second prize of Philosophy and Social Science in Shaanxi Province in 1990;" Integrated development and regional cultivation of economic plants in Qinling mountains of southern Shaanxi " won the third prize of Science and Technology Progress by Shaanxi Province in 1994;, " Study on the changing model of low-yield farmland in the Shaanxi Province " won the second prize of the Ministry of Agriculture outstanding scientific and technological achievements in 1996; " Research on the development of leading industry in rural areas in Shaanxi " won second prize of Shaanxi Scientific and Technological Progress in 1998; " Several theoretical problems about the development of rural leading industry and industrialization " were third place in the Social Science of Shaanxi Province in 1998;" The overall layout and development planning of the main economic horticultural crops of Shaanxi province " was third prize of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province in 2000; "Theory of the professional association of farmers" won the third place of Philosophy and Social Science in Shaanxi Province in 2001; " Study on the efficient use of biological resources and ecological management model of the Loess Plateau "was the second prize of Science and Technology of Shaanxi Province in 2003.
He has published more than 100 academic papers in academic journals ,such as "Problems of Agricultural Economy", "China's Rural Economy", "Technology Review", "Scientific Management", "Reserch of Agricultural Modernization" ; published a monograph "Rural Economic Types, Zoning and Rural Development ", translated the " Introduction to Agricultural Geography, "(joint translation) , and participated in editing and publishing five books.
